Our Sydney Flight Training students have achieved remarkable success once again, maing us all very proud. We extend our heartfelt congratulations on reaching these significant milestones and are excited to witness their continued growth as they soar towards their next aviation goals.
James - First Solo
Congratulations to James who completed his First Solo recently! Working in catering at Sydney Airport, James is always in and around aircraft and decided he would like to take to the skies himself and learn how to fly. On a crisp, clear, quiet winter morning, James and Instructor Kayla conducted four dual circuits prior to James going up for a lap on his own. No matter how a flight lesson goes, James is always smiling and radiates positive energy; his hard work, dedication and positive attitude are great attributes to have and we look forward to seeing James progress towards his RPL.
Reo - First Solo
Well done to Rebert (Reo) Basnet who also achieved his First Solo! Instructors Aaron and Tim have been training Reo in the mighty C152, a great initial training aircraft. Reo and Instructor Kayla hopped into the circuit last Friday afternoon. Although the skies were clear the wind was 8kts and conditions bumpy. Reo handled these conditions well, and after 4 dual circuits Reo dropped Kayla in the runup bay before returning to the circuit for a lap by himself. Reo has since conducted subsequent solos and we can’t wait to see his skills develop as he works towards his RPL.
Ben - First Solo
Congratulations to Ben Sultana on recently achieving his First Solo! Also a Flight Attendant for Virgin Australia, Ben loves being in and around aircraft and achieved his first big aviation milestone - the First Solo flight. Ben flew with Instructor Kayla on a beautiful day with clear skies and light winds before Ben dropped Kayla off in the run-up bay to take to the skies by himself. We look forward to following Ben through his aviation journey.
John - First Solo
A huge congratulations to student John Willy who completed his first solo. John has worked steadily and constantly strives for high standards in his flying and it was a pleasure to see him take to the skies by himself in our Cessna 152 KKB. We look forward to following John through his flight training.
Ayman - Private Pilot Licence
Congratulations to Ayman Saad for achieving his PPL! Ayman and flight examiner Steve took to CAVOK skies and light and variable winds, heading up to Cessnock via Richmond - it was a beautiful and perfect day for a flight test! We hope Ayman enjoys his future adventures and the ability to take passengers anywhere in Australia.
Jason - First Solo
Congratulations to Jason from Hong Kong who achieved his First Solo. Jason had 5hrs previous experience from Adelaide, but still managed to complete his first solo in under 2 weeks - a fantastic achievement for both himself and a credit to our wonderful flight instructors Clea, Aaron, and Rebecca. We wish Jason the best of luck as he applies for the Cathay Pacific cadetship and hope to see him as a Second Officer in the next few years.
Asjad - First Solo
Congratulations to Asjad Athick who achieved his First Solo! Asjad and Head of Operations, Peter Edwards, took off mid-morning in smooth CAVOK conditions for a few circuits before Asjad returned for his First Solo circuit by himself. Asjad achieved his first solo in just over 12 hours, a great achievement. Well done, and we look forward to following your journey through to RPL.
Jarrod – First Solo
Congratulations to Jarrod on achieving his First Solo in 10.5hrs, an outstanding achievement. Jarrod and Instructor Aaron took to the circuit this morning in crisp, calm and beautiful conditions before Aaron sent Jarrod for one lap of the Bankstown circuit by himself. Jarrod was trained by Grade 1 Instructor Kayla. Well done Jarrod, we look forward to seeing you progress towards your RPL.
Daniyal – Private Pilot Licence
Well done to Daniyal Obaid for passing his PPL flight test. Daniyal had an unlucky run with poor weather but was granted gorgeous CAVOK skies for his test route up to Cessnock. Daniyal is continuing his aviation journey to CPL and we wish him luck as he begins study for the seven CPL theory examinations. Congratulations Daniyal!
Joshua – Commercial Pilot Licence & Multi Engine Instrument Rating
Congratulations to Joshua Ramos who passed his CPL Flight Test. Josh originally had a CPL from the Czech Republic and has been completing conversion training with us. Josh is currently working through our Instructor Rating course. Well done Josh, some outstanding achievements.
Abdullah - Commercial Pilot Licence
A big congratulations to Abdullah Mian for passing his CPL flight test. Abdullah had beautiful CAVOK skies for his test with our CASA examiner Steve. We wish him the very best in his future aviation endeavours and hope to see him in the skies as a working pilot soon.
