Private Instrument Flight Rating - PIFR

Expand your horizons beyond visual flight rules! A Private Instrument Rating (PIFR) allows private pilots to confidently navigate through cloud cover and reduced visibility conditions that would otherwise keep them grounded.

With PIFR certification, flight planning becomes less stressful knowing you'll be able to reach your destination despite that layer of broken cloud at 1,000 feet! You will enhance your piloting skills, improve safety and enjoy greater freedom in your flying adventures.

Why choose Sydney Flight Training for my Private Instrument Rating?

A Private Instrument Flight Rating (PIFR) allows private pilots the option to enhance their flying capabilities without the same time commitment as a full Instrument Rating. It requires less theory study, fewer flight hours, and comes at a lower overall cost while still providing crucial instrument flight capabilities for recreational pilots.

Sydney Flight Training’s personalised training approach ensures you'll receive focused attention throughout your PIFR journey, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your lifestyle and learning pace.
